Ű̄ Váwr Nêōw (/űː/ /vɔ́ːɜː/ [cream] [coil]) is a subtropical Town located in the Gīmōthyǎvy Region of the Confederation of Goblin Tribes.

The name Ű̄ Váwr Nêōw is derived from the Goblin language, as Ű̄ Váwr Nêōw was founded by Mboīkī̌ Yāy 'Jay Waves' Mé̄y Sé̄ Mbó̄kīr Mp̪f̄y Sérmb, who was culturaly Goblin.

Overview

Ű̄ Váwr Nêōw was founded durring the early 15th century in summer of the year 1409, by Mboīkī̌ Yāy 'Jay Waves' Mé̄y Sé̄ Mbó̄kīr Mp̪f̄y Sérmb. The establishment of Ű̄ Váwr Nêōw suffered from several major issues, resulting in the need to develop many solutions to basic problems. Problems such as a lack of fresh water, logistical support, poor quality tools, and the odd monster or two. Howeaver, these were overcome in time.

Ű̄ Váwr Nêōw was built using the conventions of Goblin durring the early 15th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Ű̄ Váwr Nêōw is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.

Ű̄ Váwr Nêōw is buildings are arranged arround a network of restrictive baked earthen streets which form a diagonal shaped grid, where each square verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller square has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town has a fortified albit thin brick wall. The wall has most of the feeatures of a typical castle wall, just on a much smaller scale and and budget. Notably brick isn't a particuarly soild choice for resisting siege weapons. Ű̄ Váwr Nêōw's wall wouldn't hinder a proper army, but it is more than sufishent for bandits and other small marauding groups. Ű̄ Váwr Nêōw's monster and outlaw focused fortifications are suffering from significent damage, so much so that examples can be pointed to no matter which section one might have within their line of site, and most of which render sections inoperable at present.

Right off the bat Ű̄ Váwr Nêōw hits you in the face with its success. Everyone, even the peasants, are dressed in well made clothing. Every tool and implement you can see is finely made, and people will boast to you as obvious strangers of the wonders which can be found in their markets. More interestingly is a total lack of beggars, and plenty of new buildings are going up even as you speak. Somehow this town has come into quite a lot of wealth, and recently from the looks of things. This wealth has brought the town nothing but neurosis, if you can believe your eyes. Everyone acts as if you’re out to take a piece of them. Every door is locked and every window barred. Efforts are made to make you feel welcome, but only in the public areas of the town, particularly the market.

Ű̄ Váwr Nêōw has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Ű̄ Váwr Nêōw.

Ű̄ Váwr Nêōw has a Gravedigger's Guild, which is responsible for collecting the dead and laying them to rest according to all applicable laws and religious customs.

Ű̄ Váwr Nêōw has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

Ű̄ Váwr Nêōw has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Ű̄ Váwr Nêōw's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Ű̄ Váwr Nêōw has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

Ű̄ Váwr Nêōw has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

Ű̄ Váwr Nêōw's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is known primarily for its use of abstraction and simplicity. Clean lines, right angles, and primary colors characterized this aesthetic and art movement expressed via architecture and paintings. Its design ethos allows only primary colors and non-colors, only squares and rectangles, only straight and horizontal or vertical lines. Vertical and horizontal lines are positioned in layers or planes that do not intersect, thereby allowing each element to exist independently and unobstructed by other elements. These seemingly impossible principals for an architectural style coalesces into structures which most experts find hard to put into words. It is not that their geometry is impossible, but rather the style's attempt at producing works only describable visually was most successful..
